beautyqn25:
Try reentering your configuration with a text editor other than notepad if you used notepad to do this with; I use notepad++ (freeware).

Check your config.php and be sure that all your constants are defined correctly (dbname, passwd, etc...) with punctuations all in the spots that they are supposed to be in.

You should also check your database and make sure that you have all the required permissions on it.

Hope this helps

thank you for responding. I reentered the data in the appropriate areas and it worked.
I think I was thrown off by the error message that the mysql version was incorrect.
The code for the version should only be executed after your are logged in correctly.

I have the same error messages. I applied additional settings with the MYSQL GUI.
I still get the same messages. When I use PHPRunner 5.1(demo) I do not have any connection problems. I like the looks of your product and purchased it, however if I can't install it I will likely have to purchase the PHPRUnner.

Hi Stephen,

From the error it seems "steph_sgpform" do not have privileges to the database. Try to add/give privileges for that user to machform database. if you're using CPanel, hope this link help you :

Hi,

I've followed the installation instructions so far and uploaded the folder to my server. However, when I run the installer on my server I get the following messages:

Warning: mysql_get_server_info() [function.mysql-get-server-info]: Access denied for user 'steph'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in /home/steph/public_html/machform/installer.php on line 147

Warning: mysql_get_server_info() [function.mysql-get-server-info]: A link to the server could not be established in /home/steph/public_html/machform/installer.php on line 147

It also reports the following problems:
MySQL Version >= 4.1.0 (although the actual version type is 4.1.22)

And also reports:
Access denied for user 'steph_sgpform'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
Unable to connect to MySQL

I have checked the information in the config file (password, db name etc) and all seems okay?

Can anybody advise me of a way to resolve this please?

Thank you,
Stephen
