This thread is getting a little old......(started 4 years ago to be precise),

You should see a "forgot my password" check box on the log on screen (probably at least Version 3.x is required).

Check this box It will change the log on screen to an Email field. Put in the email you used to set up the admin account. That will send you a password.

Otherwise, if you forgot the password, you might need to dig through the database should be the database table called "users" (or similar) and the user name/user email should be visible there. Go back to the machform admin log on and enter that email address and it should send you a new password.

If you're not comfortable doing that in the database (using phpMyAdmin or similar), then log a formal help request with Appnitro, as they don't monitor this forum all the time. Their support is only during their business hours (their local time) - http://www.appnitro.com/contact

In the current demo of Machform, on the log on screen you can see the check box with "I forgot my password":
http://www.appnitro.com/demo/ - this demonstrates what I explained above and your own details of course won't work in the demo but you can see what I mean, and apply it to your own installation.

V3.4 is different than previous versions and redityo's solution won't work in V3.x. The admin password and username are not stored in the config.php file.

When you first run the installer, it should have prompted for your email address and licence number. The default password is "machform". The email address you entered initially is your username.

Hi redityo,

Thanks for offering your help. Unfortunately, I double-checked my config.php file and everything is correct. Still no luck :-(

Hi Matt,

Have you set login info correctly in "config.php" file ? For example you've user name "123" with password "321", then the configuration should be like this :

/** Admin user and password **/
define('ADMIN_USER','123');
define('ADMIN_PASSWORD','321');

Hi,

New to the forum and MachForm.

I was extremely excited when I found something similar to Wufo that I could download and host locally! I've successfully downloaded, installed, and run MachForm previously but I'm unable to log in all of a sudden. I'm not sure what I did to mess it up.

Upon navigating to the log in screen, I enter my admin username and password and it gets rejected. I get the "please enter the correct username and password!" error. I've read through all of the similar forum discussions that i could find but have been unable to resolve the problem.

I checked the config.php file. It has the correct / same username and password information.
I attempted to re-run the installer but got, "MachForms is already installed and ready to use" error.

Please help!
Sincerely,
Matt Bontrager
