There is no way that I know of to make a field visible but "read only" in Machform, although I'm sure it could be managed with some custom coding. But you can easily make the field hidden and fill it by using URL parameters in Machform 3.2 and up. In the field properties for the field in question put "hidden" in the Custom CSS Class text box. There are several built-in CSS classes in Machform 3.2 and up and "hidden" is one of them. This will, naturally enough, make the field hidden. It can then be filled in with whatever value you like by using URL parameters.

Please note that you cannot use the field property "Field visible to: Admin Only" to do the same thing. Even though making a field visible to "Admin Only" keeps it from appearing in the form, you cannot fill an admin only field by using URL parameters.

Actually there is a way to set a field to be hidden. Simply put "hidden" (without the quotes) into the Custom CSS Class property of the field. That would hide the field.

We would like ability to set fields to either "hidden" or "read only" please. We would fill these fields from the url line, and do not want them to be changed accidentally by the user.
