I have tried doing this through my custom java file using a click function with .val()'s but can't seem to find the right element name (tried "#id", "entry_id", "entry_no"). Is there a different way to do this? I either get nothing or "object Object" in the field I try to populate</p> <p>Basically I am having trouble linking two databases in crystal reports because the "id" field is a Integer and the field in the other database I want to use is a string. So I was trying to make an admin text field on my form that would assume the val/text of the entry id so I could link the 2 databases by entry number. Any ideas? </p>
