How to change css of dropdown menu?

    I was able to change css styling of input fields, but can't seem to get the dropdown menu.

    I palced the following under advanced CSS, but nothing happened;

    #main_body select.select[class] {
    margin: 0;
    padding: 6px 0 6px 6px;
    }

    I want to increase padding to 12px 0 12px 12px
