Inactive field?

Is there a way to have a field be inactive? For instance, if I use the pre-fill feature, it would fill the inactive field so the person filling out the form can see who they are evaluating, but can't change it. So I almost need something like a visible, admin only field.

Starting with Machform v. 4.4, you can mark many field types (but not all) as read only in the "Rules" section of the "Field Properties" tab. You can see the value in the form but can't change it, except in the form editor. This might do what you need.

I will look into upgrading ... I believe I am still on 4.3. Thank you for the suggestion!
