Installation on localhost

Hello:
I'd like to install a copy on my localhost (Windows computer with XAMPP for testing and familiarization). I do not have email set up on this test server. Is it required? The admin panel reports "Incorrect email or password!"
Thanks.Posted 11 years ago # -
See http://www.appnitro.com/installation that should help you. I think that the initial installation uses machform for the password, but I can't remember.
Regards,

Yes, when you install you are asked for your email address (but that is just for the purpose of a user name) and the default password is "machform".
But you can change the password in phpMyAdmin. Go to the Users table in the DB that MF is using. Find your user record, and edit the field "Password". Note it's probably encrypted using MD5 or similar; but if you type in a new password (overtype whatever is in that field) in plain english and save it, phpMyAdmin will re-encrypt it.
Then you should be able to log on with the new password.
