   hi
   I'm sure this should be easy -
   as we have many questions in our survey and one form seems to be limited in qty of fields allowed - can we open a second form on submit of first form?
   Ideally we would like to have just one form with many fields

   Hi There,

   We think you can use redirect url function for this. Simply edit your form and select redirect url option in there. Then put the second form url to the text box.
   That would open the second form after you submit the first form.

   yes, thanks, that seems to work however

   Q1. How can the user be prevented from using the back button to reopen form 1?
   Q2. Where does the data from each form get sent?
   Q3. The data from each form would presumably be stored in the mySQL db in separate rows - how do we know the data from each form is related?

   Do you have a response to previous support request? We are on a deadline!

   Also how can we enable each user to log in uniquely so that the data is uniquely related to each user?

   Hi Tim,

   I'm afraid the above workaround won't be a perfect solution. The data for each form submission will be stored on different tables and there is no way to merge them. So you won't be able to easily relate the submissions.

   We have built the multipage forms functionality into the next major release of machform (we added a "page break" field into the form builder) which should fix all the problem above.

   We don't have the exact release date yet, it's really close, but I'm afraid it won't be available within the next 2 months at least.
