Missing Entries

    I have about 114 entires showing but I am missing several numbers in between 8-114. Any help?

    Do you mean they are not in numerical sequence with gaps in the sequence missing e.g. like 10, 11, 12, 15, 18, 25, 36, 150 etc?

    Have you deleted records?

    The entries manager list doesn't re-order itself or renumber the records, so the ones deleted would explain the 'gaps' (if that is what you're asking).

    I think this is because if you have the option turned off, the records aren't in fact permanently deleted but simply "hidden" from the entries list. They actually still exist in the DB.

    There is an option in config.php to permanently delete entries, forms etc, but if you decide on that be aware there is no way to recover permanently deleted entries. That option is a fail safe, designed to allow for easy restoration of records.

    I have not deleated anything and I am teh only user with the password to get in. If someone starts to fill out a form but does not finish and saves, would that create the gap in the numbers?

    It seems you're right - the Save and Resume, without actually submitting the form does create gaps in the record (entry) numbering sequence. Does your form have the "Save and Resume" feature enabled (requires multi-page form).

    I just tried it simply, with three entries. Entry #1 was normal, entry #2 was "save and resume" (and not submitted) and entry #3 as normal. In entries manager, it comes up as entry 1 and 3 but not 2 (which is pending submission).

    Perhaps your visitors don't realise this, and think they submitted the record even though the email that is sent with the 'resume' link states outright:

    IMPORTANT:Your submission is considered incomplete until you resume the form and press the submit button.
