PDF too big

A PDF of an entry has often more than one MB, even if the form has only three rows. Perhaps it is because the fonts are embedded completely and not only as a subset. Is there a solution for this?

Do you mean, you are getting an errror about the file exceeding the upload limit size?

Have you tried increasing your file upload size limit in the PHP.ini file (that's not a Machform setting).

Also have you tried under the file Uplod field properties, to set a higher (larger) file size limit? This can't be larger than the php.ini file upload size.

(if you can't change the php.ini setting, your host will have to do that for you).

If the content has any UTF-8 characters (umlauts, chinese, arabic, etc) the font to render those characters are being embedded within the PDF indeed. This is normal.

Is there any UTF-8 characters within your form content?
