Using Columns with the address block.

I'm trying to set up columns using the column classes in version 3.2. Here is my end goal layout (roughly):

    ______________
    Name | |
    Position | Address Block |
    Phone | |
                 |______________|

Is it possible, using the column classes to achieve this layout?

Have you an example form of how far you have progressed with your attempt (so we can see, and suggest other things).

You need to put "column_2" in each field that you want on the same row.

For example, as you ask above, you want "Position" and "Address" on the same line

You could probably tweak the CSS a bit more to change the field positions but I'm not that experienced with CSS - but others on the forum may have ideas.

Is the above more or less what you're after?

So the diagram I tried to typed didn't work. I'd like Name, Position, and Phone to be stacked in a left column with the address block to the right.

Here is a link to an image of what I am trying to accomplish.

    Hi justinmartin

I seem to be at the same conclusion as AMurray.

However if you can live with swopping the column order you could achieve this http://www.dadad.se/dadad/view.php?id=23 with no CSS mod and using the existing built in classes.

When I tried to have it in the order you specified the "Address field" dictates the spacing immediately to its left in the left column giving what is shown in the example AMurray supplied above.

Like AMurray I'm not a CSS expert but if I find a solution I'll post it here.

Thank you both for your help. I think it makes more logical sense to the name on the left. I'll leave it how it is now.

    Thanks again!
