   This may have been posted before, but I couldn't find the post. When I create a hidden field with a default value that I want stored for future reference, the default value is not stored in the entry database. If I unhide the field, then the value is stored. Can that be changed?

   Do you mean "admin only" field? If so, this field won't be populated within the live form, hence there is no default value.
   I suggest to simply set the field as normal field (not "admin only" field) and assign "hidden" class name to the field. This would hide the field from your form and populate the default value correctly.

   Is this behavior different in version Machform 3.x than it was in version 2.x?
