Notification Rules for Paragraph Text Field

I've got a field in a form (employee checklist) with a paragraph field to note any issues in. What is the preferred way to have a notification fired when the field is not empty? I'm guessing it is to use the "Is Not" rule, and leave the criteria field blank, but wanted to check in to make sure that is the correct approach.

Does the criterea use regular expressions or just literal text?

    Thank you,

I tried it with two test submissions - both still submitted/saved to the database but only the one with the comment in the paragraph field sent the email based on the conditional logic rule. It would seem using "Is Not" operator in the conditional rule with nothing in the value field in the logic rule works well enough.

I would advise you set up a test form and try it first before implementing in your live form.
